14 May 2019
The two Weybridge based practices have merged and the practice will trade as TWP going forward, operating from its current office at the Old Rectory in Weybridge.
Under the arrangements of the deal, Schonhut, Carr & Co’s partners, John and Teresa Carr, will join as consultants initially and their two staff members will become TWP employees.
TWP Accounting LLP has three partner directors and 26 staff, with fee income of £1.1m reported for year end March 2018, according to Companies House.
John Carr said: ‘We had spoken with various practices who were keen to combine firms and following these discussions have carefully selected TWP. TWP have highly regarded specialist accounting departments. As such, they are well placed to provide a forward-thinking service to our clients.’
The merger is part of the Carrs’ succession planning and will allow them to take a step back to pursue other interests, having spent more than 40 years in the accounting profession.
Paul Hawksley, managing partner at TWP, said: ‘We are really excited to be joining forces with the team at Schonhut, Carr & Co under the TWP name. We are certain that by growing our practice in this way we can deliver our highly regarded accounting and business advice services to an even wider audience in future.’
