South West firm Thomas Westcott, has merged with Okehampton-based accountancy practice Robert Humphry as part of its continued plans for expansion
Since being established in 1991 Robert Humphry and his team have provided accounting, taxation and corporate services to a wide range of businesses and individuals.
Humphry has taken up a role as consultant at the firm and will work alongside Sarah Watts, partner in charge of Thomas Westcott's Okehampton office, which is where the merged team is based.
Humphry said: ‘I am very proud of my achievements since setting up my practice and couldn't be happier to now be joining forces with a larger firm that truly understands and shares our values when it comes to local knowledge and service excellence.
‘Rest assured our clients will still receive the same friendly and professional service they have enjoyed for almost 30 years and, what's more, will benefit greatly from a much wider range of skills and expertise thanks to Thomas Westcott's scale and resources.’
Thomas Westcott is ranked at number 52 in the Accountancy league table of UK firms, with a fee income of £12.9m. The firm has 29 partners and a total of 250 members of staff, spread over 18 offices in Devon and Somerset.
Watts said: "Whilst as a firm we have a lot of offices and people, our clients are serviced from local offices by a local partner, so very much in keeping with the culture Robert's clients have always enjoyed.
‘Robert and I are working very closely to ensure the transfer is as seamless as possible, giving the clients continuity of quality and service from the combined office.’
