Richard Veysey | Partner, accounting change, PwC UK
Richard Veysey is a partner in PwC’s capital markets, accounting advisory and structuring (CMAS) group. He is currently based in London but has also spent a significant proportion of his career in New York. For the last 10 years he has been primarily focused on providing clients with practical solutions to a range of complex accounting issues, including those arising in connection with IPOs, other capital raising and merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions.
As part of his role, Veysey leads PwC’s IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition) and IFRS 16 (Leases) accounting advisory propositions, which focusing on supporting clients in evaluating and implementing the requirements of these complex new standards.
He also facilitates a number of industry working groups focused on understanding the implications of the new revenue recognition and leasing rules, and is a regular speaker at industry events providing insights on practical approaches to address the upcoming changes to the revenue recognition and leasing standards.
