Richard Karmel is responsible for Mazars’ business and human rights reporting line in the UK. Along with his team, he has devised a service to help protect the reputation of businesses while ensuring they comply with their social and environmental obligations.

He is a key member of the project team for the reporting and assurance framework initiative which has designed a reporting framework that is a guide for companies on what good reporting of their human rights performance looks like.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He can provide specialist advice on many cross-border transactions, both for overseas companies investing in the UK and UK companies investing in Europe. He has particular expertise in the mining and oil and gas sectors and has clients with operations throughout Africa, Asia and America.
