People in the news: Moore Thompson, Cooper Parry, KPMG

In this week’s accountancy career moves, associate partner appointed at KPMG, hires at Moore Thompson and Cooper Parry, and non-executive director at The West Bromwich Society

Moore Thompson has made two appointments at its offices in Market Deeping, Chris Dunn joins as an audit and accounts manager, and Jamie Nuttall as a as a tax manager. Dunn is a former professional footballer and previously worked as a client manager at Chartered Accountants. Nuttall joins from Aston Shaw where he worked as a client manager.

KPMG has made three senior promotions in its Bristol and Reading offices. Gemma O’Brien has been promoted from restructuring tax director to an associate partner. Michael Crowson has been promoted from senior manager to audit director. Edward Brown has been promoted from senior manager to director of the private client team.

Cooper Parry’s Tech & High Growth team has added Sarah Abrahams, head of growth finance, and Nick Hawkins, associate director. Abrahams was previously a non-executive director at Funding London, and Hawkins formerly worked as a trustee at BANG Endutainment.

The West Bromwich Society has appointed David Thomas as a non-executive director. With over 40 years in financial services, Thomas joins from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as an advisor to SMBC EMEA.
