People in the news: Moore Kingston Smith, Buzzacott, MHA Larking Gowen

In this week’s accountancy career moves, partners appointed at Moore Kingston Smith, MHA Larking Gowen, MHA Henderson Loggie and Buzzacott, and chairman elected at Employer Covenant Practitioners Association (ECPA)

Moore Kingston Smith has appointed Nick Blundell as partner. Blundell joins from RSM where he worked as a corporate tax partner.

MHA Larking Gowen has appointed Sally Farrow as partner to its private client tax team. Farrow previously worked at Grant Thornton as a tax manager.

MHA Henderson Loggie has made three partner appointments with Shona Campbell, David Archibald and David Taylor, previously directors with the accountancy and business advisory firm. Campbell previously worked at KPMG as an Enterprise Financer, Archibald was previously a PMG programme manager for NHS Fife, and Taylor joined from JLM where he worked as a manager.

Buzzacott has promoted five team members to partner: Allan Wilkinson, Katherine White, Rakhee Chohan, Paul Iga and Sarah McQuillan. Prior to joining the firm, Wilkinson was a manager at Deloitte, White joined back in 2006 straight from Oxford University, Rakhee joined back in 2009 as a manager, Iga came to the firm back in 2001 as an associate director, and McQuillan joined in 2005 from Leeds university.

The Employer Covenant Practitioners Association (ECPA) has elected BDO partner Andy Palmer as chairman. Palmer takes over as ECPA chairman from Paul Burnett (RPMI), who becomes the immediate past chairman.

Andersen has named James Paull as director and head of the incentives group to the tax firm. Paull was previously a director at PwC and is the founder of Higham Park Incentives Advisers.
