Pamela Anderson dubbed a 'delinquent taxpayer'

Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has been named as one of California's 'Top 500 delinquent taxpayers of 2012'.

The Dancing on Ice contestant - who received £50,000 for a brief appearance on the ITV show - is being chased by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for outstanding tax bills of over £162,000 dating back to 2011.

Anderson is also believed to have accrued a £70,074 tax debt to officials in the state of California.

She told the Mirror: 'I'm not trying to avoid any tax obligation. Certain events occurred, outside of my control, which caused this temporary but embarrassing situation. All of my tax obligations will be resolved in the very near future.'

Massive alterations to her Malibu home are believed to be partly behind her tax troubles - having allegedly run some £1.87m over budget.
