MHA and Haines Watts Kent practices to merge
MHA MacIntyre Hudson and Haines Watts are planning to merge their Kent offices to create a single Kent operation under the MHA group brand and will create a team of 10 partners and more than 80 accounting and support staff in Kent, operating from MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s offices in Maidstone and Canterbury

Haines Watts in Kent will rebrand as MHA MacIntyre Hudson and operate from shared offices with the aim of creating a broader range of accountancy specialists in south-east England. MHA MacIntyre Hudson - which is a member of Baker Tilly International, a global network of accountancy and business advisory firms - currently has 90 partners across 12 offices. In Accountancy's February 2018 survey, the UK wing of MHA MacIntyre Hudson earned £56m and was ranked at 16, and Haines Watts, listed at no 13, earned £74.5m. MHA MacIntyre Hudson offers a range of services, including audit, corporate financing and business strategy such as risk management, and operates in Kent from its offices on Ashford Road, Maidstone and New Dover Road, Canterbury.
Rakesh Shaunak, group chairman of MHA MacIntyre Hudson, explained: ‘This strategic merger will make us a real force and will enable us to grow our specialisms across the region.
