Mazars retains Phil Verity as senior partner

Phil Verity has been re-elected as senior partner of top ten firm Mazars by the 130 UK partners, and is to serve a third consecutive four-year term, starting from next month

Verity, who qualified with Mazars, has also been re-elected to the Mazars Group Executive Board (GEB), which is responsible for global oversight and management.

Since he was first appointed as senior partner, the firm has doubled in size, and was ranked at number nine in last year’s Accountancy Daily Top 75 Firms league table, with a fee income of £198.6m.

Phil Verity, Mazars senior partner, said: ‘Leading the firm as senior partner is a real privilege and hugely rewarding.

‘Mazars is making strong inroads into each of our strategic markets, powered by a talented team of people.

‘Across all levels of the firm, this is the strongest team I have worked with and, in the midst of a pandemic, we have demonstrated resilience and flexibility, while supporting our clients and team throughout a challenging time.

‘We look forward to the next four years with excitement and optimism: we have clear strategic ambitions in our markets, a strong and distinctive brand, and a talented team with the vision and expertise to achieve our goal of being the right fit for our people and our clients.

‘We will continue to develop as a modern, progressive firm which values and offers different perspectives to a range of clients.’
