Mazars opens Newcastle office to drive north east business

Mid-tier firm Mazars has opened a new base in Newcastle to serve clients in the north east, based in the Grade II-listed The Corner in the heart of the city

The move to Newcastle is driven by Mazars’ ambitious plans to expand its team and attract talented candidates from the city’s vibrant business community. In the north east, Mazars is the leading auditor to the public sector and trusted advisers to clients across a range of markets and sectors. The firm is actively seeking to grow, with several current vacancies for part-qualified and qualified auditors and accountants to join its team.

There will be more than staff based in the office headed up by Newcastle office managing partner, Cameron Waddell.

The Corner provides a bright, spacious and flexible working environment. Mazars will configure the space specifically for its team and clients, reflecting progressive ways of working and the needs of a modern firm.

Mazars Newcastle office managing partner, Cameron Waddell, said: ‘Our team has gone from strength to strength in recent years and, throughout the current challenging and uncertain period, has continued to deliver for clients, win new business, and seamlessly adapt to new ways of working.

‘Our new office will facilitate modern ways of working, reflecting the needs of a dynamic and diverse team and client base. Both our team and our clients will find that the office reflects their needs exceptionally well, and I’m very much looking forward to welcoming them through the doors.

‘As the UK and local economies bounce back our new office in the city centre established our commitment to becoming part of the fabric of the vibrant Newcastle business community, and underscores our confidence in the continued growth of the team for years to come.’
