KPMG launches Manchester technology innovation hub

KPMG has taken on extra office space in Manchester to extend its national technology innovation hub, bringing the total number of staff employed in the city to over 1,000

The 12,000 sq ft of extra office space will be home to KPMG’s solutions & digital team, and will be an addition to the firm’s existing building in St Peter’s Square.

The new office can house around 180 staff and has been designed around collaboration and development, with access to the local technology and university communities. Around 100 specialist staff, including data scientists, designers, software engineers, project managers and analysts will make the switch in locations at the start of next month.

KPMG’s UK solutions & digital practice provides core technology and managed services to support companies’ digital transformation. It deploys its experts to help solve specific client challenges in cloud computing, digital learning, responses to regulatory change, automation and the use of technology to improve performance across front, middle and back-office functions.

Two years ago, KPMG ended its technology agreement with F1’s McLaren Applied Technologies and indicated that it would move more of its tech development in-house.
