Karen Goldschmidt is a partner and leading pensions industry expert at LCP, an independent, owner managed pensions, investment and insurance consultancy, and specialises in assisting clients address the opportunities and pitfalls presented by the ever-changing pensions tax regime.

She advises on the design and delivery of executive packages, establishing controls to minimise the risk of tax surcharges and penalties, and has long experience as a scheme actuary and partner at LCP, giving general pensions advice on very technical areas and putting them into a practical context for pension trustees, employers and members, as well as in discussions with the Treasury and HMRC.

She is also chair of the pensions taxation committee of the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) and a regular conference speaker for the ACA, the actuarial profession and at LCP's breakfast briefing sessions.
