Ian Defty is an insolvency practitioner at CVR Global He is a chartered and certified accountant and an insolvency practitioner, with over 30 years’ insolvency experience. He was a partner in a top 20 firm until co-founding niche insolvency firm, DDJ Insolvency, based in London. Ian was instrumental in merging DDJ with CVR Global in 2017.

He is routinely involved in complex litigation as a liquidator, or office holder, to recover funds misappropriated by bankrupts, directors, advisors or other fraudulent individuals. His expertise also extends to the recovery of assets locally and overseas.

A fellow of the ACCA, ICAEW and R3, Defty is also an associate member of the Proceeds of Crime Lawyers Association and sits on the R3 Fraud Panel, the R3 General Technical Committee, the Fraud Advisory Panel and the Economic Crime Prevention Group.
