Glynnis Carthy CA(SA) is a technical writer and financial reporting specialist at Croner-i. She provides consulting and training services related to the interpretation and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). At Croner-i she focuses on guidance on preparing IFRS accounts, model accounts, the Company Reporting IFRS best practice disclosure service and eCPD training modules.
Having trained at Deloitte and spent four years in the accounting technical department, she has extensive practical experience and knowledge of IFRS, and advises on the application of IFRS to specific transactions.
Carthy has previously been involved in the education of qualified chartered accountants and auditors, as well as preparing students for their professional exams. She has also been an independent non-executive director of a listed company and is chair of the audit and finance committee of a multi-academy trust.
