Fiona Fernie FCA is a partner (non-lawyer) at Pinsent Masons LLP where she heads the tax investigations group. Widely regarded as one of the leading practitioners in the field of tax dispute resolution, she has almost 30 years’ experience in assisting clients who are subject to investigations/enquiries by HMRC or who wish to make a voluntary disclosure of irregularities in their tax affairs. 

She also a wide variety of clients in relation to use of information and inspection powers, time limits for assessment, determining penalty loadings and all other aspects of the administration and enforcement aspects of the taxes statute.  She regularly lectures and writes on tax investigations both nationally and internationally.
