The firm’s initiative, titled ‘You+Money=’, helps people to understand their financial situation and their attitudes and behaviours towards money. It also provides tools, resources and information to help them take steps to improve the health of their finances.
The hub is segmented into life milestones, such as buying a house, starting a family, or planning for retirement. People can also filter the content according to how much time they have to spend - 'I have time', 'I am busy', or 'I’m on the move' - to help them find top tips or something more in-depth. An online quiz is also available to help direct people to the most beneficial and relevant information to them.
EY points to a study by fin-tech company Neyber which found that over a third (33%) of all employees across the UK were most worried about their financial situation, ahead of their health (29%). The research, also found that 58% of workers in the UK said they were mentally and physically affected by financial worries.
Justine Campbell, managing partner for talent at EY, UK & Ireland, said: ‘We know that money worries can significantly affect a person’s wellbeing and performance at work. We want to help address that by introducing a hub where our people can understand more about their own financial situation and access news and information to make their money work better for them.’
