Essex based accountancy firm Ellacott Morris has opened a second office and plans to hire more staff
Now in its 12th year of business, the firm has just acquired its second office to enable them to keep up with demand for their services across Essex and Suffolk.
With head offices in St Osyth near Clacton, Ellacott Morris has purchased a second office in nearby Thorpe to provide space for more staff and enable them to tap into a new business community.
Originally planning to rent the first floor of the new building in Thorpe High Street, increased demand means that the firm has now taken on two floors.
Ellacott Morris employs eight staff, with a view to growing their team to 10+ employees by the end of 2023.
Within the first few weeks of opening the doors to their new offices, Ellacott Morris has secured seven new local businesses as clients, boosting the firm’s 500-strong client portfolio.
Ellacott Morris was founded by Michelle Morris and Anjuli Symonds in 2011. Their ethos was to be much more than ‘just accountants’ – at Ellacott Morris the whole team immerse themselves in their clients’ businesses, supporting visions and goals through careful financial planning and management.
Michelle Morris, director and co-founder of Ellacott Morris said: ‘We’re so excited to have opened the doors to our second premises, enabling us to fulfil our plans for our continued growth and expansion.
‘We see first-hand how tough the current climate is for many businesses, supporting many of our clients through cost-cutting exercises to mitigate the impact on their bottom line, so we are incredibly proud to be bucking the trend with impressive growth and exciting plans for the future.
‘We had a vision to offer something different in our sector and we’ve never deviated from our original strategy. The success we’ve seen proves to us that many other business owners were ready to receive a vastly different style of service from their accountants, and we’re fortunate to work with some incredible companies.’
Ellacott Morris offers a comprehensive range of accountancy services supporting businesses of all shapes and sizes.
The head office will remain in St Osyth, supported by the second office in Thorpe.
