EFRAG needs insurance experts for working group

The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) is recruiting new members for its Insurance Accounting Working Group (EFRAG IAWG) following the retirement of a number of members

 

Potential candidates need to be interested in influencing the development of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and IFRS interpretations on insurance specific matters and their application within Europe, members are expected to have strong technical expertise on insurance issues and financial instruments as well as more general IFRS accounting issues and practice.

In particular, EFRAG is looking for candidates with audit and industry background to fill three vacancies. It will give priority to candidates who can demonstrate significant involvement in the current debates on IFRS 4, Accounting for Insurance Contracts.

Meetings occur on a bi-monthly basis in Brussels and are arranged so that most members are able to travel to and from Brussels on the same day.

The closing date for applications is 20 September 2014.
