Social Security (Up-rating of Benefits) Act 2021 received Royal Assent on 17 November 2022.

Social Security (Up-rating of Benefits) Act 2021 is an Act to make provision relating to the up-rating of certain social security benefits payable in the tax year 2022–23. The Act provides for a review of the state pension and certain other benefits by reference to inflation and for the up-rating of the state pension and those other benefits by at least inflation or 2.5%, whichever is higher. This will apply only for the tax year 2022–23. The Act extends to England and Wales and Scotland only and comes into force on 17 November 2022 (Royal Assent).
