UKEB publishes final comment letters on BCUCC and amendments to IAS 21

Released 02 September 2021

The UK Endorsement Board (UKEB) has published its final comment letters on the International Accounting Standard Board’s Exposure Draft: Lack of Exchangeability – Amendments to IAS 21, and discussion paper Business Combinations Under Common Control (BCUCC).

The UKEB also published a BCUCC feedback statement.

The final comment letter is broadly supportive of the IASB’s proposals, but recommended that those using the book value method should have the option to use the acquisition method of accounting, that the use of parent company valuations should be permitted when using the book value method, and highlighted a number of practical issues.
