OECD countries invite Costa Rica as 38th member

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries have agreed to invite Costa Rica to become a member of the Organisation.
As part of its accession process, Costa Rica has been subject to in-depth reviews by 22 OECD Committees and has carried out important reforms to align its legislation, policies and practices to OECD standards in areas such as competition, statistics, anti-bribery, corporate governance of state-owned enterprises, financial markets, tax transparency and industrial chemicals management.
