OECD publishes Pillar Two GloBE consultation details

Released 19 November 2019

As part of the ongoing work of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS, the OECD secretariat is seeking public comments on certain aspects of the Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) Proposal under Pillar Two.

The OECD is suggesting a global minimum tax which attempts to deal with the very low effective rates of tax in some countries and how these are being used by multinational digital groups.

The approach would seek to apply an income inclusion rule and deduction denial in tandem to prevent global tax base erosion.
