HMRC press release: National Minimum Wage increases come into effect

Government departments and HMRC have published a press release highlighting increases to the National Minimum wage and National Living wage from 1 April 2019.
The National Living Wage will increase by the highest rate since it was first introduced by almost 5% to £8.21 per hour.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) is also increasing. This includes £7.70 per hour for 21 to 24-year olds and £6.15 for 18 to 20-year olds.
