Listed insolvency specialist Begbies Traynor has rebranded the restructuring and consulting arm of the business under a new brand, BTG Financial Consulting (BTG FC),which will incorporate the group's restructuring services-led practice.

The reorganisation will see BTG Restructuring and BTG Global Risk Partners absorbed under the umbrella brand of BTG FC, creating a new practice and consultancy group specialising in financial consulting, restructuring and turnaround, forensic and risk consulting, and technology consulting. While Begbies Traynor has a strong reputation for its insolvency work the specialist forensic accounting, investigations and corporate finance was less well-known in the UK.

The team will draw on its existing specialist expertise within the group, offering a range of multi-discipline services under one brand. The firm already has a nationwide network of restructuring specialists and is part of a wider global network.

Total UK staff numbers will be around 40 made up of a team of restructuring specialists with established track records working with leading financial services companies. This will be supported by the resources in the 100 specialist firms operating in its international network.
