Top 20 firm Begbies Traynor has acquired a firm of Stoke on Trent insolvency practitioners, Dunion & Co, for an undisclosed amount
The Tunstall-based firm, which was established in 2008 and provides corporate recovery services to businesses in the Staffordshire and Cheshire area, will remain in its existing premises. It will be rebranded as Begbies Traynor and will continue to be headed up by founder, Diane Dunion.
Begbies Traynor has annual fee income of £52.4m and was ranked 17th in the latest Accountancy Daily Top 75 Firms Survey.
Dunion said: ‘We are delighted to be joining the Begbies Traynor fold. The opportunity to be part of a hugely successful and growing national brand was really compelling and made for a strong fit with our considerable expertise in the insolvency and restructuring field.
‘The addition of such a sizeable corporate professional services firm to Stoke on Trent is welcome news for the city and wider Staffordshire business community at a time when an increasing number of firms are requiring bespoke advice to help them tackle financial and operational challenges.’
