The date for this year's Autumn Statement has been set for 4 December when the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne will deliver his annual review of the finances and outline future fiscal plans.
The statement provides an update on the government's plans for the economy based on the latest forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility. These forecasts will be published alongside the Autumn Statement on 4 December.
Based on the content of the 2012 Autumn Statement, it is likely that the Chancellor will give a fairly extensive preliminary view of his tax plans for 2014/15; last year, the Statement pre-empted the Budget with many measures pre-announced in the December speech.
The Treasury's Twitter feed will include all of the latest information on the Autumn Statement, and will be using #AS2013.
