Regulators think that the tone at the top of the international accounting network firms may be impacting on the quality of bank audits - now it is up to the top six audit firms to find the root causes of poor quality, starting with evaluation of the culture and tone at the top, with focus on how commercial concerns and profitability might be adversely affecting audit quality.
