The host of a charity speed-dating event, taking place in Dorset tonight, can't guarantee you'll find that 'special one', but is confident that any participants will leave more informed of tax issues.
In aid of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, chartered accountant Robert Stone is offering those lucky enough to secure a 'date' with him the opportunity to pepper him with any burning questions they may have in regard to finance.
As well as more in tune with matters of accountancy, the individual will also have a goody bag to take away with them, including tax fact sheets and a Small Business Guide.
'Speed-dating with an accountant' will allow each participant 15-minutes - rather than the standard 5 minute allocation usually associated with the dating format - with Stone, and the hope is that the Ilminster event will prove to be popular and catch on.
Stone said: 'It is meant to be fun, but also informative and practical - the idea is to give everyone a chance to air their worries whether it's a tax problem or a query about the latest government legislation. We are really looking forward to this event and to raising money for charity.'
Attendants to the Old Magistrates Court event are encouraged to come ready with a question to ask as well as make a donation to the charitable cause.
